Inside a fully custom illustrated wrap

Some of the most fun projects that come through the studio start with the vaguest briefs. 'I want something with a dragon.' 'Make it look fast.' 'Surprise me.' Turning that into print-ready artwork that wraps a real car — with real panel gaps, door handles and wheel arches — is where the craft is.

Our process starts with the vehicle, not the illustration. We pull the exact template, map the distortion zones and mark the areas where detail will be lost — deep recesses, sharp swage lines, anywhere the eye won't linger. The illustration is then built around those constraints, so the important elements land on flat, visible panels.

Print is the moment of truth. Illustrated wraps live or die on colour depth and print resolution, so we proof critical sections at full scale before committing. A gradient that banding-stripes at 1:10 scale is a headache; at full vehicle scale it's a reprint.

The result, when it works, is something no colour-change wrap can touch: a genuinely one-off vehicle. Those are the jobs that remind us why the design studio exists.

Got an idea for a one-off wrap?

Bring us the loose brief — our design studio will turn it into print-ready artwork built around your vehicle.
